For development of the community version of Kolab, it is helpful to have nightly built packages of the master of git.kolab.org.

Note: these packages are only meant for development and testing, not at all for production use!!!

We have written this script: buildNightlyKolabRPMS.sh which retrieves the sources from https://git.kolab.org and uploads those source files to the obs.kolabsys.com Server, Project home:tpokorra:branches:Kolab:Development which builds the packages.

Here are now instructions how to setup a development server with the nightly rpms of Kolab for CentOS6:

First the usual steps, that you do for installing Kolab3 (see also the Kolab Community Installation Guide):

wget http://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/fedora-epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
yum -y localinstall --nogpgcheck epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
wget http://mirror.kolabsys.com/pub/redhat/kolab-3.1/el6/development/x86_64/kolab-3.1-community-release-6-2.el6.kolab_3.1.noarch.rpm
wget http://mirror.kolabsys.com/pub/redhat/kolab-3.1/el6/development/x86_64/kolab-3.1-community-release-development-6-2.el6.kolab_3.1.noarch.rpm
yum -y localinstall kolab-3*.rpm

Now also install the repo for the obs.kolabsys.com tpokorra Project:

wget http://obs.kolabsys.com:82/home:/tpokorra:/branches:/Kolab:/Development/CentOS_6/home:tpokorra:branches:Kolab:Development.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/obs-tpokorra-nightly-kolab.repo --no-check-certificate

Now run:

yum install kolab
setup-kolab

It is recommended to do a fresh install of the machine, when you want to go back to the Kolab Community version packages, without the nightly packages.

Install nightly build from git.kolab.org master
